Bathukamma celebrations at Bhavan’s College

Hyderabad: Bhavan’s Vivekananda College, Sainikpuri celebrated Bathukamma festival with great fanfare and gaiety on Friday before closing for Dussehra vacation.

The college wore a festive look. All the students and the staff were in their traditional best with silk sarees, ghagra cholis, flashy jewellery and men in ethnic wear.

Expressionz, the student cultural body was actively involved in organising the festival in the college campus. Exquisite Bathukammas were prepared with beautiful floral decorations.

The students and the staff encircled the Bathukammas and danced in unison, clapping and singing to the music of lilting folk songs.

Prof Y Ashok, Principal, Bhavan’s Vivekananda College, wished everyone happy Dussera.
