Vamshi XI won the second edition of Berg\'s cricket tournament, conducted by Sapta Club under the aegis of Telangana Cricket Association (TCA), at Baburao Sagar grounds in the city on Sunday.

Riding on a measly five for 18 spell by man of the match Vignesh, the eventual champion drubbed Laxmi Nagar Warriors by 46 runs after bundling them out for 86 in the summit clash.

Batting first, Vamshi XI made 132 for the loss of nine wickets. Earlier, the rival captains went to toss after the formal inauguration by TCA member, Venkat Tekumalla.

Individual prizes were given to the runner-up captain Naresh -118 runs and eight wickets (man of the series); Mallesh-13wickets (best bowler) while the best batsman award went to Sai Venkat for scoring 111 runs.

Later, prizes were given away jointly by Rahul Saridena, General Secretary of TCA and Bazaaru Jagannath Goud, senior TDP leader from Uppal.

Organising Committee members Bazaaru Satyendranath Goud and Jakkireddy Sowmith Reddy, President and General Secretary of Sapta Club respectively and others were present at the prize distribution function.
