Felicitation marks curtain raiser

The role of women in society has transformed into an unstoppable module of sheer will and determination. Recognising this faculty the second season of ‘Women Achievers Awards’ is set to be held in the city.
As part of the curtain raiser for the event, a few city-based women were felicitated on Tuesday. This included champions in karate and carrom that is Syeda Falak and Husna Khader, respectively.
Actress Yasmin Pathan along with socialites from the city and organisers unveiled the logo of the event during the curtain raiser.
Speaking on the occasion, Narendra Kotak along with Jignesh Doshi and others said, "Women in India are extremely talented and deserve much more than a mere appreciation.
This platform will award women from various fields, verticals and industries based on their contributions and achievements. There are more than 50 categories which will feature this.
“Regional achievers from Tamilnadu, Karnataka and Telangana/Andhra Pradesh will be felicitated respectively in Chennai, Bangluru and Hyderabad in November and December,” he said.
