Railway cycling off to a bright start
The 54th All India Railway Cycling Championship for Men 2016-17 got off to a colourful start after it was inaugurated by AK Gupta, Additional General Manager, South Central Railway (SCR) at Osmania University Cycling Veldorome on Wednesday.Â
The 54th All India Railway Cycling Championship for Men 2016-17 got off to a colourful start after it was inaugurated by AK Gupta, Additional General Manager, South Central Railway (SCR) at Osmania University Cycling Veldorome on Wednesday.
Being hosted by South Central Railway Sports Association (SCRSA), the event has attracted the best of cyclists from across the nine railway zones.
Gupta urged the participants to help popularize the exciting sport, which also ranks among the most effective physical fitness regimens.
Gajanan Mallya, Senior Deputy General Manager, K Siva Prasad, Chief Track Engineer, the Presidnet and General Secretary of SCRSA respectively, Solan Gupta, Chief Electrical Engineer and Dr KHK Dora, Chief Medical Director, SCR, were present on the occasion.
