Bhongir Municipality set for rapid growth
With the decision of the State government to make Bhongir as district headquarter to Yadadri Bhongir district, Bhongir Muncipality seems to become a rapid developing town in the State.
Yadadri: With the decision of the State government to make Bhongir as district headquarter to Yadadri Bhongir district, Bhongir Muncipality seems to become a rapid developing town in the State.
As the road distance between Bhongir to the State capital Hyderabad is just 50 km, Bhongir has enjoyed a unqiue oppotunity with coming up of educational institutions, particularly engineetring colleges and industries in its limits.
The decision of the State government would definitely boost the development of the town particularly in realty sector. The cost of the plots in the real-estate ventures near Bhongir has become dearer due to its proximity to the State capital. When permanent office buildings like district Collectorate, Police headquarters and others come in the town, the areas near to them would be developed as commercial centres also.
Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) near Bibinagar has also become an added value to Bhongir. Rock Climbing School which was running at Bhongir Fort has also got a special recognition to Bhongir at national level. The Bhongir Fort is becoming a hot destination for adventurous tourists.
There is a lot of scope for development of hospitality sector in Bhongir as the town is nearer in distance to the pilgrim places Yadadri, Kolanupaka and Surendrapuri.
As town having well transport connectivity including road and rail, as a district headquarter, the face of Bhongir town is exepcting to change fast in a couple of years.
Speaking to The Hans India, the Bhongir Muncipal Chairperson Lavanya said Bhongir Municipality would be upgraded with the declaration of the district headquarters. Located between the State capital and temple city Yadadri, Bhongir would get a special identity in the State. She has expected that the funds to the municipality would also increase due to declaration of Bhongir as district headquarter. As a district headquarter, the State government would, generally, develop certain infrastructure in Bhongir. It would also develop as a business centre as floating population would increase to the town, she added.
