The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) – Hyderabad Chapter and the Indian School of Business (ISB) announced that close to 40 investors will participate in the seventh edition of ‘TiE-ISB Connect’.

With ‘India Leapfrogs – Disruptive Technologies & New Business Models’ as the theme, TiE-ISB Connect 2016 will have investors looking for opportunities in business ideas presented by the select startups during the event. The ‘Investor Connect’ event is expected to raise funding totaling up to Rs 100 crores as a result of meetings organised.

The participants would also get an opportunity to listen to the dignitaries and experts including IT Minsiter KT Rama Rao, chief coach of Indian badminton Pullela Gopichand, National Skill Development Corporation MD Manish Kumar and other famous personalities.

The event would also feature, Guardian Angel session, inspired by the popular TV series “Shark Tank”, a live instant funding event at TiE-ISB Connect 2016, where five select startups will present their venture to investors.

Upto 18 innovative startups from over 200 nominations have been selected to make the presentation at the event. Three best startups will be finally selected by a jury comprising of business leaders and investors and felicitated at the event.

A ‘Mentor Connect’ session is also organised for early stage startup founders, promoters, budding entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs. “Under the Mentor Connect young entrepreneurs would be able to understand why Startups fail and how to increase the value of their venture. The mentors will also help in expanding startup's network,” said Srini Chandupatla, Chair for Mentor Connect and Co-Founder of Manjeera Digital Systems.

The two-day event will be held at ISB Campus from October 26.
