Nizamabad: CLP leader in the State Legislative Assembly K Jana Reddy lashed out at Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for making false promises to the people during the 2014 elections and cheating them after coming to power.

Addressing a public meeting after participating in the Maha Padayatra on the fourth day at Bodhan town on Monday, he said that KCR promised double-bedroom houses to the people and also pledged to revive the Nizam Sugar Factory but totally forgot about them after coming to power.

Jana Reddy assured the people that after coming to power after the 2019 general elections, the Congress government in the State would take measures to revive the Nizam Sugar Factory, Sirpur Paper Mills and the Rayon Factory in Warangal and make the workers and farmers prosper.

But even after two years, the Chief Minister did nothing, he lamented. Speaking on the occasion, TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy urged the Chief Minister to release funds worth Rs 6,0000 crore to the banks and waive off their loans at one go as the financial position of the State was sound and stable.

CLP Deputy Leader T Jeevan Reddy said that the TRS leaders were exploiting the people of the State like vultures.
