Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest enlightened the students of MGIT about the implications one has to face if indulged in ragging.

Hyderabad: An awareness programme on ‘Anti-Ragging and Drug Abuse’ was organised at Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology, Gandipet, Hyderabad on Tuesday by the Anti-Ragging Committee – MGIT in association with City Civil Court Legal Services Authority, Hyderabad.

The Chief Guest of the programme Y Veerraju, Senior Civil Judge cum Secretary, Hyderabad District Legal Services Authority. The other dignitaries present were K Balakrishna, former government pleader and senior advocate, city civil court, Hyderabad, sri shiva prasad, senior advocate, city civil court, Hyderabad and Prof P Venkata Ramana, Convenor, Anti-Ragging Committee, MGIT.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest enlightened the students of MGIT about the implications one has to face if indulged in ragging. He has advised the students to focus on the activities they are intended to do in the college. He also informed the students how the Legal Services Authority is helping the needy, especially poor and women, in moving the courts for justice.

K Balakrishna advised the students not spoil their glorious career by indulging in ragging. Shiva Prasad explained the Anti-Ragging Act to the students. P Venkata Ramana thanked the city civil court legal services authority for the initiative in creating awareness about anti-ragging and drug abuse, and informed about the measures being taken in MGIT for curbing the ragging menace.
