​Karimnagar: The District Collector, Sarfaraz Ahmed, directed the officials to conduct the Group-II examinations perfectly in a peaceful environment in the district.

The Collector chaired a meeting with the officials at the Collectorate conference hall here on Thursday along with Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) member Prof Sailu.

Addressing the officials, Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed said, “About 57,750 candidates are appearing Group-II examinations in 139 centres in Karimnagar.

The officials must check all the centres whether basic facilities like furniture, drinking water supply etc are made available or not.’ If not available, the officials were told to inform the Chief Superintendent concerned immediately and convey it to Joint Collector for arranging the furniture on the behalf of district administration.

He also ordered the official to appoint a medical team and arrange pure drinking water in filters along with bus facilities for the convenience of the candidates for reaching the examination centres in time.

The Collector informed the police officials to arrange tight security at the examination centres for conducting the examinations in peaceful environment and asked them to inform all the owners of Xerox centres in the district to close their shops on the day of the examination to prevent any untoward incidents.

Speaking to the officials, the TSPSC member, Prof Sailu said the Chief Superintendents must reach the centres at 7.30 in the morning on the day of the examination and invigilators by 8 am.

All necessary steps must be taken to conduct the examinations smoothly. The examinations will be held on October 11 and 13 in two sessions - from 10 am to 12.30 pm and from 2.30 pm to 5 pm.

The candidates must be allowed to enter the examination hall 15 minutes before the scheduled time i.e., by 9.45 am and 2.15 pm.

He told the officials to ensure that the candidate once entered will not leave the hall. If any problem arises at the centre, then the Collector Sarfaraz told the officials to inform the higher officials immediately to take necessary actions.

District Joint Collector B Srinivas, RDO Chandra Shekar, Chief Superintendents and other officials were present in the meeting.
