MEPMA sets up centre to purchase food grains

​Nizamabad: A food grains purchasing centre was organised at the agricultural market yard in the town on Wednesday under the aegis of MEPMA. It was inaugurated by MEPMA Scheme Director Janardhan and Divisional Supply Officer Krishna Prasad.

Speaking to the media on the occasion, DSO Prasad said that the government was purchasing the A Grade food grains at Rs 1510 and B Grade food grains at Rs 1470 per quintal.

He said that the food grains purchasing centre was being run by the members of a local woman’s organisation. He expressed the hope that the farmers would be immensely benefited by such centres.
