Devarakadra: A long pending railway line of Muneerabad is getting ready. A trail run was conducted by the Railway authorities on the newly constructed track on Thursday.

A trail run of a distance of 64 km was already made from Devarakadra to Muneerabad sometime back. Another stretch of 30 km up to Pulimamidi was also completed. The Railway officials from Secunderabad reached Devarakadra on Thursday morning.

They inspected the signaling system at Devarakadra, which will become a junction from here. They also checked the condition of the new track and performed puja there. They went to the nearby railway crossing on the trolley and interacted with the gateman there.

Later, the officials went to Jakler station (Pulimamidi) on seven motor trolleys. The trail train also followed them. This train will return Devarakadra with a testing speed of 110 km per hour.

If the track condition is satisfactory, the authorities will operate a regular service on this track. Commissioner of Railway Safety PK Vajpayee along with DRM Aruna Singh, CAO, CE, and Heads of various departments were present during the inspection.
