Andhra Pradesh throw ball mens team immerged champions after five years in South Zone tournament held at Trichur, Kerala recently. Eight teams participated in the tournament across the South Zone.
Andhra Pradesh throw ball mens team immerged champions after five years in South Zone tournament held at Trichur, Kerala recently. Eight teams participated in the tournament across the South Zone.
In the final match, Andhra Pradesh team beat Tamil Nadu 15-11, 4-15, 6-15 and won the championship. Andhra player D Munnaiah exhibited talent and played pivotal role in winning the championship. He also won best player award in the tournament.
According to Andhra Pradesh Throw Ball Association secretary Eeda Sulochana, AP team retained its championship after five years gap. All the players exposed their talent and won the championship, she said.
Throw Ball Association chairman P Satyanarayana Raju, Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) Officer on Special Duty (OSD) P Rama Krishna, District Sports Development Officer (DSDO) Sirajuddhin and association technical committee member A Apparao congratulated the team.
