Mahadevpur: Works related to land acquisition for the prestigious Kaleshwaram project was speed up as the government releasing funds on time.

Harish Rao would hold a review meeting on the same on Thursday at Jalasoudha in Hyderabad. Project chief engineers, SEs, EEs, representatives of contract companies and others would participate in this review meeting.

After delimitation process the project is now being come up to include seven districts. The irrigation department is taking all measures to complete the land acquisition process for the construction of barrages and pump houses at Medigadda, Sundila and Annaram, which are part of Kaleswaram project.

Followed by Harish Rao’s direction, the officials were trying to convince the farmers and people at village meetings to give their lands for the project, informed Kaleswaram CE Nalla Venkateswarlu.

Deadline was fixed to complete the construction of pump houses of the project. The construction of pump houses of 6th and 8th packages from Ellampalli to Mid-Manair should be completed by July next year.

The construction of pump houses of 10, 11 and 12 packages should be completed by September next year. The construction of pump house of package 20 should be completed by December next year.
