Karimnagar: The Telangana Grameena Banks (TGB) in the State were providing better services for the financial development of the people by implementing welfare schemes introduced by the State and Central governments, Telangana Grameena Bank Chairman B R G Upadhyay said.

He inaugurated 366th branch of Telangana Grameena Bank at Sapthagiri Colony here on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, Upadhyay said that compared to other banks, the TGB’s were giving more interest of 8.2 per cent for its customers. Till now the TGBs have dispersed more than Rs 5,000 crores of loans, he added.

Telangana Grameena Bank General Manager Ch Surendar Raju said this is the 91st branch in Karimnagar district. The TGB stands in first place in collecting deposits and dispersing loans.

About Rs 1,050 crores of deposits have been collected in Karimnagar district till date. With the cooperation of the staff, better services will be provided to the customers of the TGB, he assured.

Assistant Joint Collector Ram Reddy, Karimnagar Regional Manager M Ravinder Reddy, Corporator Buchchi Reddy, Sathya Thirunagari, A Lakshma Reddy, M Damodar Reddy and Sapthagiri TGB manager M Chandra Reddy were present along with others.
