Hyderabad-based Alternative Rock artist (Alt-Rock), Alluri released a music video of ‘Evari Kosam’ a Telugu alt-rock song recently in Hyderabad. The song Evari Kosam (For Who’s Sake) depicts the problems faced by Indian Housewives.

Alluri was born and brought up in Hyderabad. He did Bachelors of Music Technology in London and Masters in Finland. “When I was 12, I started learning guitar and I found the beauty of music. Music is a mysterious thing and always inspires me.

One famous German philosopher said - ‘Life would be a mistake without music’, is true. I started writing songs in English, later I decided to write it in my mother tongue ‘Telugu’ to show its greatness. This song demonstrates how the music world is truly universal sphere, which exists only in the cultural blend that shapes its very existence,” he said.

He wrote the song during a six-month travel break between completing his Masters in Finland and returning home to India. “I went to London for a song recording. I stayed in my friend’s room for three months. He works in a bank and usually comes to the room at 2am and always would wakes me up.

I felt, I lost freedom while staying in his room. At that time I thought about the Indian housewife, who is also facing problems by living under their husband’s rule. From this song I want to show the problems which Indian housewives face, and wrote it from her point of view.”

“Actually this album has 9 songs. Audio of whole album and video of one song ‘Evari Kosam’ will release on YouTube next week. I am also interested in working for films but my main focus is on live music. I’m also participating in the NH7 music festival in Delhi, Pune and Bangalore,” he concludes.
