The MD of Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) M Dana Kishore reviewed the progress of works under the Rs 1,900 crore ‘HUDCO Aided Water Supply Improvement and Distribution Network’ in peripheral municipal circles at the Board of Conference Hall in Khairatabad on Wednesday.
The MD of Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) M Dana Kishore reviewed the progress of works under the Rs 1,900 crore ‘HUDCO Aided Water Supply Improvement and Distribution Network’ in peripheral municipal circles at the Board of Conference Hall in Khairatabad on Wednesday.
He directed the General Managers (E) Projects wing to submit detailed action plan for laying the 2,500 km distribution pipelines.
He observed that now that road cutting permissions have been given by GHMC, the Board should start the work of laying pipelines from November 5.
He said that for laying smaller dia pipeline, the work can be started after getting permissions immediately. For bigger pipelines of 250 mm dia and above, which may come across main roads, the Managing Director instructed the Chief General Manager (E), projects wing to personally ensure that not only regained road cutting permissions be taken in advance, but road restoration agency be kept ready for taking up road restoration work immediately to avoid any traffic problems.
He said a project monitoring team with 10 engineers would set up at head office. It will regularly inspect the sites and submit reports to Managing Director.
A daily teleconference would be conducted with General Managers (E), projects wing to know the status of men, machinery and progress at the sites.
The MD instructed to keep in touch with Residential Welfare Associations, Corporators and concerned MLAs and take their cooperation while laying there pipelines.
Among others, who attended the meeting include M Satyanarayana, Executive Director; M Yellaswamy, Director (Projects); Chief General Managers (Engg.); General Managers (Engg.); Dy General Managers (Engg.); Managers (Engg.); Projects Wing, HMWSSB and Implementing agencies.
