Warangal Urban: Aam Admi Party (AAP) Telangana in-charge and Malviya Nagar MLA Somnath Bharti faulted the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia along with others by local police.

There seems to be undeclared emergency in Delhi, he complained while referring to the arrests of the CM and the Deputy CM.

Was it wrong to meet the family members of a deceased ex-serviceman, Subedar Ram Kishan Grewal, who allegedly committed suicide over the delay in implementation of One Rank One Pension (OROP), he sought to know.

Speaking to press persons in Hanamkonda on Thursday, Bharti accused the BJP government at the Centre of trying to suppress the democratic rights of the people. He expressed surprise over the arrest of Ram Kishan family members also and beating up his son by Delhi police.

Ram Kishan, who was frustrated and felt cheated over delay in OROP implementation and written letter to PM, Narendra Modi. Yet there was no response from the NDA government. ‘What sought of treatment the government intends to give to the soldiers,’ he posed.

The AAP leader wanted the Andhra Pradesh government to immediately produce Maoist central committee member Ramakrishna (RK) before the court. He claimed that RK was now under the custody of the AP police.

He feared that the police could kill Ramakrishna and his nine associates at any time in another fake encounter while describing the Malkangiri encounter that took place on AP-Odisha borders on October 24 as an undemocratic and fascist attack.

The civil society should condemn the fake encounters. The government should book a case of culpable homicide against the police, who were involved in encounter, he said adding the AAP would intensify its fight against the AP government.

The AP government has been trying to displace adivasis living in Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari districts. By doing so the government intends to allow corporate to exploit Bauxite reserves in those areas, Bharti explained.

He also objected killing of under trial SIMI activists by Madhya Pradesh police. He opposed the BJP government as it had described the human rights activists and parties condemning the killing of under trial prisoners as supporters of SIMI.
