Mancheriyal: Telangana PCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka lashed out at the TRS government for following anti-students’ policies.

Participating in the ‘Praja Garjana Sabha’ here on Monday in support of the student’s demands, Vikramarka said that the government took the students for a ride with regard to the release of scholarships and fee reimbursements amounts by making false promises to them at the time of 2014 elections but ignoring them after coming to power.

As a result, students from the poor and the downtrodden sections of the society were unable to pursue higher education, he lamented.

The State government should stop playing with the lives of students, he added. He demanded that justice should be done to the students immediately.

Vikramarka said that the government also cheated the farmers and making their lives miserable. He said that the number of suicides of farmers has increased after the TRS came to power.

He criticised the government for not waiving the loans of farmers. They were not getting remunerative prices for their produce, he lamented.

He said that Telangana State was formed only due to the measures taken by the Congress Party and the TRS was trying to mislead the people by saying that the entire credit should go the TRS party and K Chandrashekar Rao.

The AP State Reorganisation Bill was passed in Parliament due to the special interest taken by Congress President Sonia Gandhi and the Congress, he added.

The T-PCC working president said that the State government did not take any steps to complete construction of houses under the Indiramma scheme and the beneficiaries were in a state of confusion.

Former MP and Congress leader Madhu Yashki, formers Minister D Sridhar Babu, congress leaders Sharada and G Sujatha and others were present.
