Traffic disruptions to be resolved soon
Superintendent of Police M Srinivas said that the traffic problems could be solved if the local town planning and town development organisations extend their cooperation to the police.
Adilabad: Superintendent of Police M Srinivas said that the traffic problems could be solved if the local town planning and town development organisations extend their cooperation to the police.
On late Sunday night after 9 PM, he went around various busy junctions in the town to get a first hand information about the traffic jams that occur frequently causing lot of inconvenience to the commuters.
The SP went around the Shivaji Chowk, Ambedkar Chowk, Gandhi Chowk, Tansi bus stand, Netaji Chowk, Vinayak Chowk, Ashok roads and other areas in the town.
He went around on foot and interacted with the people. They told him that traffic was also being disrupted due to the large number of push cart vendors and small time traders who block the roads.
The Superintendent of Police assured the people that their traffic woes would be resolves soon with the traffic police taking appropriate steps to strengthen the town traffic system.
He said that a committee would be formed to solve the traffic problems and the guidelines framed by it would be strictly implemented without fail.
He urged the people to come forward and extend their cooperation for the development of the town. He said that space would be provided in the town to park the autorickshaws temporarily.
Boards would be set up at important busy centres listing out traffic guidelines, he added. Superintendent Srinivas said that traffic police would be present at all the busy junctions where traffic jams occur frequently.
He warned that strict action would be taken against traffic violators and they would be penalized. DSP A Lakshminarayana, Circle Inspectors of Police K Venkataswamy, Traffic Sub-Inspectors of Police B VEnkatsh and Srinivas and others were present.
