Guru Nanak Jayanti fete from tomorrow
The Prabandhak Committees of Gurudwara Saheb, Secunderabad and Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Afzalgunj have joined hands for the upcoming Guru Nanak Jayanti celebrations.
The Prabandhak Committees of Gurudwara Saheb, Secunderabad and Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Afzalgunj have joined hands for the upcoming Guru Nanak Jayanti celebrations.
Announcing the collaboration in the city on Tuesday, the committee members informed that four-day long celebrations will begin for the 547th birth anniversary of the Guru from Thursday.
In this context, two colourful nagar keertans move out by the committees; one from Afzalgunj at 4pm on Thursday and the other from Secunderabad on Saturday.
Over 25,000 devotees from across the State will take part in the procession in which the Guru Granth Saheb will be carried on a beautifully-decorated vehicle along with religious flags.
The final day will have ‘Prakash Utsav’ on Monday along with a mass congregation at Nizam College Grounds, Basheerbagh from 10.30am in which upto 40,000 devotees are expected to attend.
