Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays are considered as the worst days of the week. Days that are closer to the weekend are always the slowest, and often result in mid-week blues amongst employees.

You have to go to work, you don't have time for watching new movies and you cannot do anything about it. No matter how "done with life" you may be, you still have to get up early the next day because well, there's still time for Friday.

So, what's mid-week exactly? A very simple explanation would be that part of week, which is not Monday, but still far away from the weekend.

You've not quite recovered from the stressful Monday, and you're already anticipating Friday.

If you find yourself feeling stranded in the middle of the week, we have a few tips to drive away the mid-week blues:

Treat yourself

Whoever said treats are just for holidays?

If you feel even the slightest bit depressed about it not being the weekend already, grab your phone and order a pizza with your favourite topping.

Pour yourself some wine and watch a TV show that you love. How will this help?

Firstly, there's not a problem in the world that pizza cannot solve.

Mankind was blessed with it, and it is made for the sole purpose of curing people's issues.

Secondly, there's wine. I don't have to list out how wine will help.

And thirdly, you'll be reminded of how you are able to purchase all of this. That's enough motivation to go to work tomorrow all fresh and pleasant, unless you want to live a life with no pizzas and wine (we know you don't want to).

Meditation
There are all kind of thoughts going on in your mind. You'll find yourself asking a lot of questions which need definite answers.

You'll wonder why all this is important, and how easy it would be if you were on a backpacking adventure to the mountains.

What you need to do here is relax. It's not as bad as it looks.

To stay motivated through the week, all you need to do is relax. Think about all the times everything you did made sense. Make yourself believe how this is just a phase and it'll all pass away once it's Friday.

Meditate a little to free your brain from all your depressing thoughts and hit your restart button.

Believe
You know what being in the mid-week means? The weekend is close! It doesn't have to necessarily be in a day, but it's right around the corner.

You'll be taking a break in a few days, and you can enjoy the weekend in a few days. Only, you need to concentrate on your work in the week to be able to take full advantage of the weekend.

Do you want to end up with incomplete deadlines and loads of work on the weekend as well? No, you don't.

You'll have to believe in the concept of time, how every Monday ends in a Sunday, and how your day of having fun is not too far. Just believe, and you'll snap out of it in an instant.

Music
The effect of music on your soul is immense. It is the most efficient way of obstructing all the negativity from consuming you.

Mid-week blues are sad vibes originating from your brain, which make everything around you boring. Nothing in your environment seems entertaining enough, and hence you feel low.

That's when you turn up the music. Take a 15-minute break from whatever it is that you're doing and listen to your favourite song.

For a while, ignore all that is going around you and indulge yourself in the soothing effect of music.

You can always sing along, but keep in mind that you're around people. You don't want to end up in a funny Vine video.

Get Creative
What always helps in such situations is projecting your feelings in the most creative way possible.

For example, if you're an artist, bring your feelings out on a canvas. If you're a writer, write about it.

You're sad, you might as well get a benefit out of it. You could get a good blog, or a good painting, and it does wonders,
as now you've let your feelings out the way you like best.

Even if you're not good at drawing, try doing that. Make some funny doodles, just move the pencil around.

It's always better to be doing something than thinking about negative things.

You might want to hide your masterpieces in a place where no one finds them, ever.

Mid-week blues are easy to tackle when you know the right things to do.
