Nizamabad MP K Kavitha, along with Patanjali group CEO Balakrishna, on Tuesday toured the district, in the context of her representation to Yoga guru Baba Ramdev (of the group) to set up a turmeric-based industry.

​Nizamabad: Nizamabad MP K Kavitha, along with Patanjali group CEO Balakrishna, on Tuesday toured the district, in the context of her representation to Yoga guru Baba Ramdev (of the group) to set up a turmeric-based industry.

They visited the Lakkampalli CEZ in Nandipet mandal and the Science Park in Velpur mandal. The MP took to the notice of Balakrishna the places which were suitable for locating in the industry.

The two also inspected the works of the Food Park, and the turmeric crop in Nutapalli village of the mandal and interacted with farmers.

Later Kavitha told The Hans India that she had requested Baba Ramdev to the set up the industry in the district and that he had responded positively.

She pointed that the Patanjali Group was producing many products across the country, while expressing happiness that it had responded promptly to her request.

Kavitha said that it was a welcome move to set up industries in Telangana, as they would result in creation of employment to youth, while assuring extension of all reliefs by the State government.

Balakrishna said that he had found Nizamabad ideal for locating the industry. He said that he would setup agrobased industries to help farmers.
