All Saints lift U-14 VVS Cup

A magnificent all-round performance by player of the tournament P Shiva was the foundation for the resounding 79-run win posted by All Saints High School over Sreenidhi International School in the finals of the Interschool Cricket tournament for the VVS Cup at the latter’s grounds on Wednesday.

Being put in to bat, the eventual titlist posted an impressive 176 for the loss of six wickets in the stipulated 40 overs. P Shiva scored 78 from 103 balls while Zafar’s cameo was worth an unbeaten 37 that came in 63 balls.

Thanks to an inspired spell by Shiva, whose five wickets came at a cost of 13 runs, Sreenidhi International School was never in the chase and folded up in 33 overs after scoring 96.

Shiva was rewarded with an exclusive Wristique Cricket kit while P Durga Balaji from Hyderabad Public School, Ramanthapur, received ‘Spike Shoes’ for being the best bowler from the Academy founder, VVS LAxman.
