As a result, the staff under the Telangana Electricity Trade Union is on a six-day hunger strike. Upto 30 members of East Circle sat in protest at the SE office in Uppal.

The Trade Union asserted that the CM promised to regularise their jobs and yet not a single request or appeal has been fulfilled by the government.

“Our salaries have not increased and we do not receive it directly as well. There is no insurance claim or safety kits to linemen,” said a member.

Earlier, Union leaders Kishore Raju, Varun, Md Hahub, Janardhan, Raju, Venkanna, Srikanth and others participated.
