Globalart India organised the 4th Regional Competition ‘KOLOR CHAMP ‘16’ at Manjeera Mall recently. Around 300 children between the ages of 5 to 15 years from across the country participated in the event and exhibited their painting skills.

Srilata Lajwanthi, Vice-Principal of Global Indian International School, Uppal was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the same.

Addressing the gathering she said constant practice, zeal for learning and building character and life skills are important for kids to flourish.

The theme of the competition ‘My adventure with friends’ was announced on the spot and children had to draw a painting in the given time frame.

Speaking on the occasion, Namrata Mukherjee, Business Head of Global Art said: “Takeaways of this competition was creativity, making kids think on their own, open up, express, confidence. These qualities will enable children to take divergent career paths.”

“Today parents are focusing on imparting life skills for their children. Today’s parents are wise in imparting skills in their children than those five years back,” she added.

The winners were given away prizes in a concluding function held in the evening. Padmajyothi Turaga, Principal, Delhi Public School, Nadergul, Hyderabad was the chief guest and gave away prizes.

Launched in India by SIP Academy India in 2005, the Globalart programme is a one-of-its-kind international creative art programme for children (5 – 15 years).
