Pandit Motiram Pandit Maniram Sangeet Samaroh is an annual Indian classical music festival held at Hyderabad every year from November 30 to December 2.

The festival is organised by Pandit Jasraj in memory of his father Pandit Motiram and brother Pandit Maniram, both classical musicians of repute.

Every year the festival was held at Chowmahalla Palace but this time it will be organised at Centre for Culture Resources and Training, (CCRT) Madhapur.

About the change of venue G Kishan Rao, Chief Executive Officer of the Yadagirigutta Temple Development Authority says, “Chowmahalla Palace has extended its venue support since four years and this year the festival will be held at CCRT.”

The festival has been organised by Pandit Jasraj for the last 43 years as a musical homage to his gurus.

A few hours before his father Motiram was to be honoured as the Royal singer in the court of the Nizam, (today known as the Chowmahalla Palace), he left for the heavenly abode.

At that time Pandit Jasraj was only four years old.

Tripti Mukherjee, discipline of Pandit Jasraj says, “This year we will be presenting an innovative, modern and exciting concert format titled ‘Raagas on Tabla’.

I am sure that this unique presentation will generate huge interest, curiosity and appreciation amongst the audiences.”

Aficionados of Hindustani and Classical music can watch the renowned musicians performing live on stage at the festival along with Pandit Jasraj and Durga Jasraj.
