Hyderabad company’s African mission honoured

Hyderabad-based export house Volta Impex Pvt Ltd was recently conferred with the ‘Special Jury Award for Entrepreneurial Spirit in Africa’ title by the Associated Chambers Of Commerce & Industry of India (Assocham).

The title was received by Chairman MSRV Prasad at a ceremony in New Delhi in the presence of Rural Development Minister Kripal Yadav and Dean of African Mission in India HE Alem Tsehaye Woldemariam.

"We are delighted at the recognition," said Prasad. "Our Journey in Africa is quite challenging and satisfying experience for me personally. Along with the establishing business and factories, we are committed to the growth of the region as well as contributing to the development and welfare of the people of there,” he said.

“It needs tremendous amount of dedication, persistence and people skills to deliver that experience especially when managing factories in 13 countries. By giving direct and indirect employment to 10,000 people in the region, with 98 per cent of staff of African nationalities,” said Prasad.

"I consider this as a collective reward on behalf of my colleagues without whose cooperation it wouldn't have been possible,” said the Chairman about the honour.
