CMR Engineering College organised a daylong faculty development programme as part of ‘Teachers Assessment Appraisal Training’ (TAAT) at its premise on Friday.

Speaking on the theme ‘Get Connected Before You Communicate’ motivational speaker Dr KV Subba Raju said, “Teaching is a complex craft.

Effective teachers strive to motivate and engage all their students in learning rather than simply accepting that some cannot be engaged and are destined to do poorly.

So it is important to get connect with diversified students to transmit the subject. “Teachers understand that students learn best when they are presented with new material in a way that enables them to connect it to what they already understand and know how to do.

They are in the habit of constantly reflecting on how well they are getting through to their students and searching for better ways of teaching those who are not responding as well as extending those who are achieving well,” he said.

Dr AS Reddy, Principal, Deans, HODs and faculty participated in the event.
