MaxCure Hospitals in association with Telangana State Police launched a ‘Drive Safe’ initiative on Monday. The initiative is aimed to increase road safety awareness and prevent accidents.

As part of this, a ‘Road Show’ was flagged off by DGP Anurag Sharma, which will speak about the ill effects of rash driving and create awareness among the public.

In addition, a ‘Signature Campaign’ was rolled out, for people to pledge on wearing a seat belt.

A statement released by the Hospitals said, “Due to rash driving, speeding and drunken driving there is a huge increase in the number of road accident cases in the city.

About 100 – 150 trauma cases per month are seen at MaxCure group of Hospitals.”

Speaking on the occasion, DGP Sharma said, “The campaign provides a positive reason to not drink if you’re driving.

A drink doubles your chances of being in a fatal collision and missing out on the life. Not only drink and drive but rash driving and speeding are also major factors in RTAs.”

“I hope that this programme will reach the masses and create the required awareness,” he said.
“With growing cities, we are seeing a rise in the number of accidents.

As a responsible Hospital, we would like to create awareness among the masses regarding rash driving, speeding and drink and drive.

The Road Show will go on for a few months,” said Hari Krishna, CEO, MaxCure Group of Hospitals.
