As part of its efforts towards promoting good health and wellbeing, ‘Team Jiva’ of ‘Hyderabad Youth Assembly’ (HYA) conducted a health camp in Bijilipur, a small village near Medak district, recently.

Led by B Satya Avnesh, the team took a stock of the unsanitary condition of the BPL village. “Unavailability of hospitals and clinics in its vicinity makes it hard for people living in this village to get their health examined,” said Avnesh about the situation in the village.

A team of doctors and nurses from Yashoda Hospitals, Malakpet accompanied HYA members for the cause.

They conducted medical screening and spoke about personal hygiene and affects of having contaminated surroundings.

“The examination revealed that most people in the village were suffering from conditions like leprosy, cataract, and cardiovascular and thyroid ailments,” informed Avnesh.

The team from Yashoda included Dr Noorulla Khan, Dr Suhma Thrasu, Dr Satish Patil, Dr Devender Yadav Prasanna Raju and nurses.
