ST Cell city convener D Venkat Rao and Minority Cell State convener Md Fazal distributed notebooks, pens and other stationery to schoolchildren in a programme organised at Lenin Nagar, in remembrance of Babu Rao.
Speaking on the occasion, Fazal emphasised the importance of education in the nation’s development.
He urged people to help the needy, especially those from marginalised sections. Senior leaders V Jayaraj, Nagati Chandrasekhar, Venkanna, Chand Pasha, Shankar, R Pratap Singh and Gopi were among others present.
