Plans afoot for bolstering policing in Telangana: Home Minister

Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy stated that plans were afoot for enhancing policing in the State. On Tuesday, the Minister along with the police commissioner of Rachakonda, Mahesh Bagawath, inaugurated a new police station at Bibinagar, and Mahila Bhavan on Bhongir town police station premises. 

Bhongir: Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy stated that plans were afoot for enhancing policing in the State. On Tuesday, the Minister along with the police commissioner of Rachakonda, Mahesh Bagawath, inaugurated a new police station at Bibinagar, and Mahila Bhavan on Bhongir town police station premises.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Naini informed that government was going to establish reception and gym in every police station.

“We are also bringing many reforms in the department in order to bring police closer to the people and also to improve the image of police in the society.

CP Mahesh Bagavath, in his speech, said that commissionerate policing was quite different from district policing and urged the co-operation of public representatives for effective policing and proper output.

District Collector Anitha Ramachandran, Government Whip Gongidi Sunitha, MP Boora Narsaiah Goud, MLA P Shekar Reddy and others participated in the programme.
