TANA offers support to Telugu States

Telugu Association of North America (TANA ) Foundation announced their development and charity programmes for the Telugu states, in a press conference held at Press Club, Hyderabad on December 15.

The foundation (with co-operation of Telangana State Chess Association and Andhra Pradesh Chess Association) is organising a State Level Scholarship Chess Tournaments for Govt school Children studying in standards eight to ten, in this month at Hyderabad and Vijayayawada.

District level selections meets already underway. State Level winners will Receive Rs 50,000 and Runners up will receive Rs 30,000 each (one boy and one girl in each state) beside all district toppers are to receive Rs 10,000 each (AP -13 Districts and Telangana State 10 – old districts). All participants are to receive a TA and DA of Rs 1,000 each for attending state meet.

This charity will help school children to show their talent, the scholarships will be of much help for students from govt schools. It was also announced that TANA will be helping TSCA for three Fide Rating events to be held soon in the state.

TANA President Jampala Chowdary, TANA foundation Chairman Srinivas Gogineni, TANA Vice President Satish Vemana and Eminent Sports Personalities are going attend The State Level meets.

The foundation expressed gratitude for the arrangements made by TANA Foundation India Chairman Dr KRK Prasad and its executive body. They also acknowledged the effort of Telangana State Chess Assn and AP Chess Assn.
