Tejasvi Vidyaranyain city celebrated its Annual Day, Tejotsava Navarasa, on Friday December 16, with an offbeat theme: the Navarasas.

The camaraderie and the closeness with the teachers and students who coordinated and collaborated for the event, was a treat to watch.

Not to be left behind is Tejasvi tradition of maximum participation, with teachers putting up an act that received an overwhelming applause.

Devoid of any VIP culture, the school feels its parents and students are its VIPs. The prizes for meritorious performances were given away by parents.

At a time when the society is crying itself hoarse on losing our culture and heritage, Tejasvi stands as a shining beacon of light, upholding our glorious traditions.

Each of the Navarasa was beautifully orchestrated to exemplify the best practices and traditions of the school.

If Bhayanaka rasa was used to communicate to slay the demons within us, which is the fear of failure and fear of performance, Karuna rasa was used to reinforce and reaffirm our respect for parents, teachers and elders.

Hasya rasa was used as a tool to convey the importance of humour in learning and Shanti rasa conveyed the need for peace and tranquility in troubled times.

YS Shailaja, the correspondent said, “We had never needed a VIP as we have always deemed the children and their parents as our special guests.

It is the parents who always help us to give our best to the children in the form of the opportunity to be with and among the children, for the children.

It is only appropriate that we honour them, by honouring our students.”
