Bhupalapally: In what looks like an apparent case of inhumanity, a State Minister, along with his convoy, sped past an accident victim who was left unattended on the road, inviting huge public outcry.

A photograph of the incident that took place in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, in which it shows the Minister’s convoy driving past the victim, has gone viral on social media.

According to reports, three people who were riding a bike were hit by a speeding mini truck at Palampet village on Sunday afternoon.

While the rider died on the spot, the two pillion riders suffered injuries. According to reports, locals immediately gathered at the spot, and were looking for vehicles to take the injured to the hospital,

when Telangana Tribal Welfare Minister Azmeera Chandulal, who represents the constituency where the accident took place, zoomed past in his convoy without stopping.

Initially after the incident, when the media tried to contact him, his phone was answered by his secretary who denied that such an incident had taken place.

However, he has since clarified that ‘he was in a hurry’. “I was busy attending a call from my relatives when my convoy went past the accident spot.

In the normal circumstances, I would have got down and called on the accident victims but I was in a hurry then.

It is not that I lack humanity. After all, they are my constituency people,” he told a Delhi-based newspaper.
