Nakrekal: In a shocking incident, a student of Class I suffered burn injuries when he fell into a container of piping hot sambar during mid-day meals. The incident took place at the Eedhulur Government School in Kattangur mandal in the district on Friday.

According to sources, Jayavardhan, son of Ramalingam, accidentally fell into the hot sambar container and suffered severe burn injuries. Minor scuffle between the students while standing in the queue line had reportedly led to the incident.

Jayavardhan was rushed to district hospital in Nalgonda. After preliminary treatment, he was shifted to Osmania Hospital in Hyderabad for better treatment. Joint Collector Narayana Reddy visited the government hospital and inquired about the condition of the student.

On the direction of District Collector Gaurav Uppal, RDO of Nalgonda Venkata Chary rushed to Eedhulur and enquired about the incident.

He expressed his displeasure over the incident. Speaking to media, the RDO said he would submit a detailed report to the
District Collector on the incident soon.

Meanwhile Collector Gaurav Uppal, who was in Hyderabad on official work, visited Osmania Hospital and enquired about the student’s condition.
