SCCL announces 23% bonus to workers

Kothagudem: Singareni Collieries Chairman and Managing Director N Sridhar hoisted the company flag to launch the 128th Formation Day celebrations of the company here on Friday. He went round the stalls put up as part of the celebrations.

Later speaking to press persons, the CMD stated that about 30,000 dependents of the SCCL employees would be able to secure jobs in the company following the clearance of the scheme given by the State government.

He announced payment of 23 per cent bonus to the workers and launched the company’s own power production unit to mark the day.Sridhar stated that SCCL had achieved a 15 per cent growth in production to emerge as the No.1 in the country.

While expressing happiness over this achievement, he pointed out that it was possible because of the efforts of both workers and officials.

Earlier, the CMD flagged off the 2k run of the SCCL workers and officials from the head office to Prakasam Stadium. The officials included the firm’s directors.

Meanwhile in Manuguru, the SCCL officials organised a grand celebration under the stewardship of Chief General Manager Mallesh, who unfurled the Singareni flag and released pigeons symbolising ushering in of peace.

He inaugurated various stalls set up by the students and company officials. The stalls displayed a variety of saplings and implements used by the workers and staff. Several trade union leaders and workers in large numbers attended the function.
