New Delhi : Companies across sectors are using technology for headhunting and 80 per cent of them are leveraging job/social media posting, career websites, internal/external database search and background searching to zero in on right talent, says a report.

According to a report by Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), compiled in collaboration with CareerBuilder India and covering over 120 organisations, technology is being deployed for hiring and zeroing on the person with the right skill sets for the job.

"The simple automation of this asset can safely predict, accelerate, analyse and empower organizations to deliver the best for their products or/and services," SHRM India CEO Achal Khanna said. While, 80 per cent of the organisations use technology as a part of their talent acquisition strategy, 17 per cent of organisations are completely unaware of the existence of any such tools for the same.

"Technology is impacting the talent acquisition sector in India," CareerBuilder India Managing Director Premlesh Machama said, adding that it is easier to arrive at solutions when the problems are clearly identified and analysed. According to the study, the biggest hurdles in adoption of technology are lack of awareness of existing relevant tools and inability to track Return on Investment. Budgets, implementation challenges and internal bottlenecks (12%) are the least of challenges.
