Over 40,000 pilgrims visit Bhadradri
Bhadrachalam: Devotees turned out in large numbers at Lord Sita Ramachandra Swamy temple here on Sunday. They were seen waiting in queue lines from the dawn itself braving chilly weather. Bhadrachalam: Devotees turned out in large numbers at Lord Sita Ramachandra Swamy temple here on Sunday.
They were seen waiting in queue lines from the dawn itself braving chilly weather.
After having a holy dip in River Godavari, the devotees proceeded to the temple to have the darshan of the deities.
Due to huge rush, it took nearly two hours for the devotees to get the darshan of the deities.
The huge turnout of devotees was due to Christmas holidays. The devotees took part in arjita sevas. The prominent among who visited the temple on the day was Ramanuja Jeeyer Swamy of Ahobilam.
Devotees also thronged Parnasala on the day. According to temple sources, over 40,000 took the darshan of the deities.
Temple executive officer E Ramesh Babu said the temple earned not less than Rs 10 lakh through the paid services.
Meanwhile, the Yadagirugutta Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple also witnessed huge numebr of devotees on the day.
They had to stand for more than four hours in line to get the darshan.
