Hanamkonda: Commissioner of Police G Sudheer Babu asked the police officials to follow a 16-point formula devised to speed up investigation of pending cases.

The formula was prepared under the supervision of the Commissioner based on a specific action plan, which was to be followed as per the provisions of the IPC from the time of filing a case till conviction of the accused by court.

The Commissioner addressed police officials of Warangal Police Commissionerate east zone at ‘Under Investigation Cases Mela’ held here on Tuesday with an objective of clearing the pending cases and to expedite enquiry into the cases.

There would be more chances of convicting an accused if constable to Station House Officer (SHO) of police station concerned follows the plan of action prescribed in the 16-point formula, he said while explaining how the cases should be resolved.

The Commissioner while interacting with police officials and personnel told them not to delay the investigation of cases and not to favour any individual while probing the cases.

After filing the FIR, the plan of action related to each case should be entered in the case diary by the SHO with his hand writing and it should be approved by the concerned ACP. Cases related to land disputes should be resolved using standard operating procedure (SOP).

“We should try to uphold the faith the public have in us by serving them better. All personnel and officials should make collective efforts in that direction and bring laurels to the Commissionerate,” Sudheer Babu noted.

Ensuring speedy justice would help boost confidence of the people in police and judiciary, he added.
East zone Deputy Commissioner of Police Md Ismail, ACPs J Mahender and Muralidhar, inspectors Satyanarayana, Srinivas, Jani Narsimhulu, Devender Reddy and others were present.

Directions issued for NY celebrations Later on the day, Commissioner of Police Sudeer Babu held a meeting with managements of hotels and hostel managements and issued directions in organising New Year celebrations on December 31.

He told them to obtain prior permission to organise celebrations and ensure safety of the participants, especially the women.

After mid-night liquor should not be supplied, programmes which depicts women in objectionable manner and hurts religious sentiments of people should not be performed and temporary medical arrangements should be made, he suggested.

Sudheer Babu told the hostel managements not to allow the inmates to go out to celebrate and told them to organise celebrations within the hostel premises.

Those running girl’s hostels should not allow outsiders to visit the hostels to greet the inmates.
