Crafts Council’s ‘Sammaan Awards’ are back
The Crafts Council of Telangana is all set to organise ‘Akruthi Vastra’ sale, a one-day exhibition that brings together a carefully curated collection of handicrafted work from across the country.The exhibition reflects the culture of the people of our country, according to organisers.
The Crafts Council of Telangana is all set to organise ‘Akruthi Vastra’ sale, a one-day exhibition that brings together a carefully curated collection of handicrafted work from across the country.

As part of the exhibition, Crafts Council of Telangana is reintroducing the ‘Sammaan Awards’, which will be given to selected craftsmen and weavers with outstanding capabilities.
These are lifetime achievement awards including Sammaan 2017 Weaver Award, Sammaan 2017 Handicraft Award and Sammaan 2017 Child Artisan award.
The awards will be given on January 6, 2017, at N Convention during the inauguration ceremony of annual Sammaan and sale of textiles and handicrafts from 10 am to 11 pm.
