It was the pre-opening event of ITC Koh-i-nur, held at ITC Kakatiya. Amidst great food and music was also an art event showcasing the works of Hyderabadi and Kolkata artists created as a part of the 5-day workshop held at the new hotel, named after the famed jewel of India.

It was the pre-opening event of ITC Koh-i-nur, held at ITC Kakatiya. Amidst great food and music was also an art event showcasing the works of Hyderabadi and Kolkata artists created as a part of the 5-day workshop held at the new hotel, named after the famed jewel of India.

Primarily set around the Kohinur diamond, and the cultural motifs of the Deccan, the artists also took liberty to unleash their creative skills in producing artwork that will be adorning and brightening up various corners in the yet to be opened hotel.

9 artists were a part of this art camp, and Thota Tharrani and Ishani Majumdar are the curators. The artists were sent for a site visit to ITC Koh-i-Nur along with a city tour of key landscapes as a part of the workshop.

The participating artists included Mekhala Bahl, Tanmoy Samanta, Amitabh Sengupta, Varsha Adulla, Lavanya Dutt, Srikant Dhunde, Gurram Mallesham, Srinivas Nayak and Venkat Jageti.
