The members of the Kula Vivaksha Porata Samithi (KVPS)- Cobblers’ Association submitted a representation to the Circle Inspector of traffic police here in Khammam on Tuesday requesting to allot permanent places to them in the city for continuing their business, which was their main livelihood.

Khammam: The members of the Kula Vivaksha Porata Samithi (KVPS)- Cobblers’ Association submitted a representation to the Circle Inspector of traffic police here in Khammam on Tuesday requesting to allot permanent places to them in the city for continuing their business, which was their main livelihood.

Speaking on the occasion, the Joint Secretary of the KVPS-Cobblers’ Association Ganta Bheemaiah said many cobblers in the city were eking out a living by working near shops, malls, bus stations and railway stations.

Since they had no proper place to continue their work, the Association members requested the CI to allot them permanent places.

The representatives of the KVPS Cobblers’ Association Veera Swamy, Balaraju, Naga Lakshmi, Manemma, B Ramu, D Venkateshwarlu,

B Maheshwari, G Rajesh, G Thirumal Rao, G Prashanth, M Nani, K Kousalya, K Venkaiah, M Lakshmaiah, Krishna, Suresh, Thirupathamma were present along with others.
