Preparations are in full swing for the 77th All India Industrial Exhibition (Numaish), which will be at the Exhibition Grounds in Nampally from Sunday.

Urban Development and IT minister KT Rama Rao will inaugurate the annual event this year.

About 2,600 stalls are expected to be setup and more than 25 lakh people expected to visit. With a couple of days left traders, stall owners and organisers are leaving no stone unturned to make the event a gala fest for patrons.

Speaking to the CityTab, Secretary of All India Industrial Exhibition, Aditya Margam informed about the preparations.

“In comparison to last year, this time we have a new stall ‘Tribal Welfare Art’. We are giving importance to women entrepreneurs this time. In this regard, we are making special arrangements for booking their stalls,” he said.

Margam is a little worried about demonetisation effect on the fair. “We did not have any problems per se during the bookings because that closed on October 31.

But, as the days are passing, we are witnessing its effect especially in the arrival of goods and other preparations.”

“We are setting up two swiping machine counters at the entrance,” he said about the preparation.

Commenting about the altruistic efforts of the Exhibition Society, Margam said, “We use the surplus for underprivileged students of 18 institutes across high school, Intermediate, Degree, engineering and pharmacy to provide education at subsided cost.”
