Mancherial: Members of CPI-affiliated Telangana National Mazdoor Union (TNMU) took out a protest rally from Inspection Bungalow to RTC depot here on Wednesday, seeking immediate implementation of their demands.Their demands include allotment of double bedroom houses, payment of wages along with leave for ‘Sakalajanula Samme’ period and release of third instalment of arrears.

Addressing the protestors, TNMU leader Kumaraswamy accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of not honouring his promises made to the RTC staff during 2014 elections. He alleged that the government is running 1,400 private buses in the RTC to suppress the staff and planned to introduce outsourcing system. Kumaraswamy also alleged that the government planned to appoint retired RTC employees as depot managers, with higher salaries. He warned of launching an intensified struggle if the government fails to honour its pre-election promises and concedes the employees’ demands.
