Sultanabad: In a strange incident, as many as 230 residents, including farmers of Usannapalli village, have refused to take PDS rice. They have surrendered the quota supplied to the village.The village is on the outskirts of Gangaram in Kalwa Srirampur mandal of Peddapalli district.

The villagers gave their consent in writing to the District Collector through Tahsildar that they do not want to take PDS rice and requested the authorities to give the supply to the poor.
