Speaking at a roundtable conference here on Wednesday, the Rythu Sangham State joint secretary Nunna Nageswara Rao alleged that government was trying to bulldoze the rights of the farmers by amending the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.

Khammam: Telangana Rythu Sangham and Bhu Nirvasitula Sangham leaders demanded the State government to withdraw the new land acquisition bill passed by the Assembly.

Speaking at a roundtable conference here on Wednesday, the Rythu Sangham State joint secretary Nunna Nageswara Rao alleged that government was trying to bulldoze the rights of the farmers by amending the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.

“After facing stiff opposition in acquitting land for irrigation projects, brought in the new legislation, the government came up with the new bill to hoodwink the farmers,” Rao alleged.Madineni Ramesh, Vedagiri Srinivas Rao, Bathula Lenin, Adapa Ramakotaiah and Avula Venkateswarlu were among others took part in the meeting.
