One person electrocuted, another injured
A villager, Shankar, who was with Papaiah, was injured in the incident. They were laying a trap to kill wild animals. Recently, a tiger was electrocuted after being trapped allegedly by hunters.
Chennur: An alleged hunter of wildlife in Bheemaram mandal, Papaiah, became a victim of the trap he is said to have laid in the Polampalli forest area after he was electrocuted on Thursday, while he was fixing electric wires at the spot. As power supply was on, he was killed on the spot.

Shankar was admitted to the government hospital in Mancherial in serious condition.After learning of the incident, Forest department officials rushed to the spot and conducted an inquiry. They shifted Papaiah’s body to the government hospital in Chennur. However, doubts are being expressed over the death. It is learnt that Papaiah failed to spot the wire allegedly installed by hunters. When contacted, officials refused to react to the incident.
