The inaugural programme was held near Maddikunta village on the river banks of Maharashtra side. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, Telangana Minister for Roads and Buildings Tummala Nageswara Rao were present. It may be noted here that works on bridge have started in 2011. The cost of the bridge is Rs 241.7 crore.

Kaleshwaram (Bhupalpally): The 1.62-kilometer high-level bridge across Godavari river that connects Gadchiroli of Maharashtra and Bhupalpally in Telangana has been thrown open by Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao on Friday.
