Nizamabad: Commissioner of Police Kartikeya directed the policemen to take steps and search for the minor boys and girls who were lost and restore them to their parents after holding counseling sessions for them. Participating in the “Operation smile 3” programme held at his camp office in the town on Thursday, he said that these children might be found working illegally in factories or shops and such children should be identified.

He said that the one-month programme would be held under the supervision of an officer of the rank of the Sub-Inspector of Police, comprising of four members including a woman constable. He said that they would collect information on the missing children and send it to the State CID department.

Commissioner Kartikeya urged the people to dial the number ‘100’ and also the mobile 9491398540, the Nizamabad in-charge Sub-Inspector of Police’s mobile number 9490618014 and the Armoor in-charge Sub-Inspector’s mobile number 9700705341. They could also dial the mobile number of the Sub-Inspector of Bodhan 9490618205 and inform the whereabouts of the missing children, the Commissioner added. Nizamabad’s Dy Commissioner of Labour L Charturvedi, Bc Welfare Officer Vimala, Tribal Welfare officer Vijay Kumar, CID officer (Hyd) Uday Kumar, Nizamabad ACP Anand Kumar and others were present.
